    Hey Lio!!

I got myself 2 H.kuda and 2 H.barbouri a couple of days ago to put into my reef tank. What the sh*t man, my carpet anemone got both of my H.kuda!!! I'm now trying to think of a way to put the horses into a new tank - would I need a protein skimmer for them? I have a spare 4-footer at home, this won't be too large for them, will it?

Anyway, before the H.kuda were stung, they were really happy on a diet of live artemia (thanks, Bawater, I got the shrimp from 328!). However, my barbouris aren't eating the adult shrimp but going for BBS instead. Any idea what else I can feed them? I really think they aren't getting enough to eat.

I'm so vexed now. Dang, I should have remembered that stupid carpet anemone before I placed the horses into the tank.

    Very sad.

    Hi Dragon,

My Carpet got my Mandarin... should have seen the bugger... head in first...

I think a 4 footer might be too large for those seahorses... a smaller space would be great so you could channel directly to them... they don't really pursue their food but waits to be serve.......

    Do post results.....
    will be very interested....[]

    hi dragon, sad.

a 2 ft is good enough but use anythin u have spare will do. Mine in 4ft- ya dun they really get to eat enough- my yellow tang has found my seahorse feeding box(i use a guppy trap) & ransacks it.
    i've got H.combs(tiger tails)just 2 in a community of fishes.

try to mix a little frozen mysis wif frozen or live BS(half a cube to start is enough)- they soon start to get the taste of it.

The skimmer is in cause for a 4ft u have to be a little heavy on ur feeding for the horses to find food or to get enough- this affects water quality a lot.

to save money, u can use the existing tank temporarily.. coz unless u want to breed them, u need at least a 4x2x2 (if i recall correctly)and lots of vegetation to hide.. if not, use it to house them.. and just have to worry abt them getting enuff food.. one way is to switch off the filtration system when feeding.. horses they may be.. but it is very slow as compared to those in Krangji Race course.. hahaha...
