Not sure is this the right place to post for these questions. Need advise from everyone cause I am very confuse on this as I'm planning to make a pond.

1) What is the different between a power head (or pump) with a output of 3,000l/h (size of output 1/2", low power consumption) compare to that of a power head (pump) with the same output but bigger output size (1", high power comsumption)
Is these the same as at zero (0) height the output is 3,000l of water after an hour? Am I right to say the only different is the distance/height of the pump capable of pumping?

2) Is there any different with the following lay out of pump in term of output? Please see attach drawings.
