Hi folks,
If you guys still hunting for fabricating the tall stainless steel stand like ADA design...
I have check and got rough estimate quotation from the steelmaker.... price below $150 for tall ADA design type and short type o2bubble design still less than $150. If you order more... cheaper
Give your specification if anyone would like the tall ADA design , hor? I will ask my supplier for the immediate quote.

Hi all, an update that I have found another steel maker shop and got the qoute of $250 for the stainless steel (15 mm) stand. Will be getting it soon.. haha.. those interested also, can pm me seperately. Hope I can help![]()
I was wallking down King George Ave sometime ago helping my friend to look for these angled steel bars that can be fixed into a shelve for the storeroom. Think there is a shop there selling aluminum rods of different thickness. Think they also can cut the rod according to your specifications. Not sure if they can be used to fix up to a light stand. But think the aluminum rods are more expensive than steel bars. Maybe this information can provide you with another option.
Not really, Steel should be more expensive than aluminium nowadays and also Aluminium usually only have 2.5 cm thick. Thinner ones I check cost alot more. Also, I could not find one that can make a light stand so far. The last one totally disappointed me and I gave up.
Ok, cus last time we did ask the price of the aluminum rods and was quoted a price a few times to that of the iron/steel( not exactly sure) ones. Maybe that is iron.... That might explain the price difference. Just trying to help. Good luck in your search.

LOL. no lah no worries. if it really happens then suck thumb lor. haha.. anyway this rack only cost me less than 2 red note. compare to your 5 x blue note. but again yours is nicer and neater. waiting to see your new rack. good luck.
Bro, after more than 1 months since I started my search for the light stand, it has finally arrived yesterday! Its looks and made exactly in my expectation and specifications (15mm pipe and very light!) except the sides a bit not balancedThe guy will come up to help me adjust tonight
I will take a photo tonight. I think it looks better than ADA's grand solar stand in my own opinion! cheers!
Awaiting your pictures![]()

that's a cool looking stand. Can't wait to see how it looks like with your german made MH.
nice nice.. haha. thats 1k++ worth siting on your tank. anyway nice lights and stand. haapy planting..
Great looking stand.
Could you let me know the total weight of the 2 lights? I see that the stand rests on the glass of the tank. Won't this put undue pressure on the tank?
I am having a stand custom-made for an ATI Powermodul 2x54W. As my tank rests on a stand with 2" extra space on either side, my ATI light stand will rest on this extra space. Due to the weight of the light, and the 3' height required, one horizontal brace is not enough. It will come with 2 horizontal braces, with 2 shorter cross-braces to hold the light.
Obviously, it wont look as posh as o2bubbles stand. Estimated cost < $200.
