Hi, get those light with 55w twin tube bulbs. that should be more then enough. Use the aquarium calculator on the top right link of this forum. If you need to know the recommended lighting.
Hi all, below are the specs of my tank. I feel that the pentration of lights to the base of my tank is not enough, as only plants near the tank surface bubbled. I am thinking of changing to 2 X 150w mh pendent lights, for better pentration. Secondly, to save electricity bills, if I change to 2 X 70w mh, is the pentration of lights still okie? Hope someone can advice me.
Tank size: 3 X 2 X 2 feet
Temp: 24.5
Lights: 4 X 39w HO T5 from delighting
Soli: magic soil
Fauna: US/Jap/Thai fissiden, flame moss, Mini/petite nanas, Subwasertang, needle java ferns
Fert: One cap of Lushgro aqua liquid per week
Water change: 1/4 a week

Hi, thanks for the advise. So if i switch to mh light, is one 150W mh sufficient coverage for my 3X2X2 ft tank or do I need to have 2?
The coverage is 2x2 for 1 mh. So theoritically not enough. However if u have low lights plants at sides is ok. Many people infact use 1 mh only.
