Looks like your Tefe really beats the odds and turns out to be a male.. Glad that it really turned out to be a male which you have wished for.. Haha.. Wish my female could turns out to be like yours too..

It can still be a female, unless the picture was taken awhile back. colouration on the caudal isn't a sure way to confirm the gender. I had female agas sporting colouration as well. sure way is to look at the shape of the caudal or best still, if it is really a female, ready to spawn

Yup, only time will tell.... let's see whether the caudal fin becomes sharper at the ends.... I have 2 of these fishes and they should be the same gender. So unlikely that they will have a yellow jacket unless they are gay![]()
