    Hiya Quixotic,

Sorry for not spelling out the scientific names, thanks for fixing it for me.

I will get some pics as soon as they feel secure and come out from hiding. The Pelvicachromis Pulchers I have been breeding for about a year, but the rest I have just gotten in the last month.

    Hi Ang,

Don't worry too much about the scientific names. I spelled it out in full because I don't think there has ever been mention of P. subocellatus in our forum before.

So I thought it would be good to have it in full, to create awareness and interest in our members that there there is such a species in the Pelvicachromis genus.

Looking forward to some shots of your fishes.

    Cheers.

Just got this pair of beauty and the male have decided to dig under the anubius in the tank. The female keeps displaying to the male. Hopeful, they will get it right.

The male is not so cooperative though.

Hope that this fish becomes more popular.

I was waiting for you to reveal yourself. Hahaha. Thanks again for the terrific pair.

The pair is currently in the photo tank, pending a good shot of the male. I will try a mirror later

Haha Richard, going for new fishes again?

Anyway today I chanced upon this article in Pratical Fishkeeping magazine Sept 07 issue on Pelvicachromis. It says that Pelvicachromis in the wild mostly feed on plant debris, and wild-caught fish rarely have crustaceans or other animal matter in their guts. The magazine recommended vegetable flake or pellet, supplemented with fresh vegetables and sine live food.

    Eman,
Actually it's for discus, developed by Jack Watley for Tropical Brand.
I bought it from Discus shop, but that shop has since closed.
Not sure where else sells it.
