Hi guys, i recently setted up a small moss and riccia tank.

    L:31 x 18 x 18 (cm) (approx.)

    Lighting:20watt

    Temperature:26-27 Deg Cel.

Filtration: 1 huge hang on filter, too big, changing to smaller one soon.

    Plants: 1) Anchor Moss,
2)Recently added riccia(just added afew riccia pebbles next to the rock, yet to grow),
    3) Looking to add more plants at the back behind the rocks to cover the slit between the larger rock and smaller rock, very awkard there.

Fauna: 1) 1 boraras (unsure of species)
    2) 1 tiger oto
    3) Sakura shrimps

Thanks for viewing. Any comments are welcomed.

yes bro, 2 tubings, c02 and air supply.

yup, my interest is more in shrimps although apistos are very tempting!

any recommendations for plants to put at the back behind the rock?

Hi there, you moss looks super healthy.

Nice tank you have there. simple yet elegant. For background may can try some hairgrass planted sparsely?

at 10 litres, it might be too small to house a pair of apistos comfortably

but it's a lovely tank nonetheless! wish i had the artistic sense to make a nice iwagumi

apistos are definitely on my mind, they look nice and best of all, they can breed! But not for this tank as its main inhabitants are shrimps. Notice my 1 lonely boraras up there? His purpose is to eat mosquito larvae. Heh.

bro, think the other root-less (riccia) plant may start floating around once it grows out of the netting.. it gave me headach before.

    Simple and nice!

Very Sweet Tank! The moss grows really well and clean too ... Its not easy to maintain the cleanliness during the first few months. Great Job!

Marle, is there space in between the two rocks? If there is, try to plant hairgrass in between to make the scape more natural.

The scape with the MM looks weird now.

Normal. So that they sort of forms like natural looking patch of grass you see around rocks in nature.

ok sure, i will give the MM a few more days, if it does not look good, i will turn to either hairgrass or more moss at the back.

I still think normal HG may be more suitable. Jap hairgrass will 'bend' as it grows. Maybe you can give Colin a buzz if you're looking for some. I saw some in his shop yesterday.

Very impressive piece of work for this aquascape tank, I like the view of the 2 pcs. of rocks with different colours and the richness colour of the moss so beautiful. Well done and keep it up.

A very nice looking tank indeed.
By the way, OT a little, do your boraras attack the Cherry shrimps? Ant shrimplets in the tank?
