Finally got back into planted tank. Bought myself a nano to start with in a cramped house. Miss my 2ft but til i can find place to set up, i'll play with a nano. =D

I'm still not very satisfy with the placement of almost everything though (looks odd).. especially the driftwood..comments please? After 24hrs, most of the 'dust/mulk' from the substrate has settled but settled on my plants..will these clear up??
When should i start adding fert? Scare add now will invite algae..

bro, maybe u can choose smaller plants for your tank as your tank is small.. and you might want to consider adding some gradient/slope to your tank

i dont really know what is suitable to replace the windelov consider such small tank..any suggestions? Here's a update of the tank btw. readjusted the DW and added MM and some rocks.

For it's inhibitants, 10 Cherries, 3 Saes, 2 Ottos and 15 yamatos are also added to clear away some green algaes that starts to tint the glass and my glosso..

No pun intended. The photography really improved so does the planted tank. Keep it up

A much better scape, might want to hide the filter outlet?

Hi all, long time no updated. But somehow..i've upgraded my tank to a 1.5ft, realised nano cant satisfy me.. Anyway, here's the tank. The right side is still a little bare as i'm considering either a pile of rocks or Driftwood with lush floras like moss, ferns, HM. i am thinking of having a small path in between the Left and the right hardscape so as to create depth in the 1.5ft.. Any constructive criticism is welcome! The tank is set up on 18Nov and hence has alot of improvement to be made.

    Tank : 45.5x30x30.5cm (1.5ft)
    Lighting: T5 8wx4 (9hours)
    CO2: 2-3 bps
Filter: SF-601 ext filter + Hangon filter
    Substrate: Gex Plant soil

    Floras:
    Glossostigma Elatinoides
    Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv'
    Microsorum pteropus Narrow Java (Needle)
    Spiky moss
    Acorus gramineus var. pusillus
    Hemianthus micranthemoides
    Vallisneria nana
    Cryps which i cant iD..

    Faunas:
    Blue lamps
    Cherry shrimps
    yamatos
    SAEs
    Ottos

OOoooooOO.... I like the left side. Very well placed. Choice of colour and shape looks good also. Your nana "golden" (looks like one to me) looks really great.
The right side seems lacking. The effort for the left and right seems unbalance. Perhaps more plants and a bit more hardscape can do the trick

yeoyl87: Thanks! Inspired by the wilderness which i saw during my range at pasir laba camp area. Tall staggerly trees with crypts, ferns and other shrubs below them. It look much better than my humble scape though. I shifted the small bunch of Golden Nana. (Took it out to cut away the rotting parts + retie)

Yesterday in camp, i found and pick up some nice rocks and stones, took them home to boil and added them in today. Comments please?

Pardon my photography, my camera sucks and hence cant really do the tank justice..

ahh.... the "feel" is much better IMO now. Just wait for the grass to grow between the rocks on the right side, I think the look will be more natural.
