Lighting - 4x55 watts PL light - 10 hours daily
(sometimes on 2x55 watts for a few hrs in between)
fan - 2 fans ( only on 1 this time of the year )
Did you use the same lighting amount in your previous setup? Any problems with algae on the Java Fern then?
I too have a 5ft tank (5' W x 2' D x 20" H) and I am using 6x36W PL. Doing so-so as the Anubias I have keep getting spot algae and some BBA.

i have thrown away all my java ferns
the java ferns have been infested with BBA even with 2x55 watts PL Light ..........
