Well, might as well ask this question, maybe someone here was also as unlucky as me.

The 'stick' of my skimmer is stuck - can't screw it up or down to regulate flow. Tried hot water, ice cubes, lubricant, tap tap on the floor, just short of flinging the gadget against the wall. Any one here have good suggestions?

    Thanks[:]

Careful with adhesive. I just had a bad experience. It as toxic and I had to take it out. If you have to buy special adhesive, might as tell by the Oista surface skimmer for S$10. It's based on the same design as the Ofa brand from Germany selling for S$70.
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

On that note, anyone can recommend any good surface skimmer. Heard Eheim's not so good, is that true?

if you want to remove the surface protein layer, why not get a pair of red platy.
    saves you the mechanical trouble.
red against a background of green aquatic plants looks nice too.

Tawauboy is rite! Platy can do the job. No need 2 buy n install any more equipment in the tank.
