    Hi bro

When did you see the ADA tank? Is this the address? 565 Macpherson Road #01-01 Singapore 368234. I thought someone told me the LFS has already closed down and no one took over.

Seriously, I believe if the local distributor is not interested, take the buisness elsewhere.

William, I'd strongly advise you to take a holiday to Hong Kong or Japan this year end and hand carry one back.

Well, i dont think i will go in short term. Just came back from hongkong but wasted never bring back. Handcarry and ship over are the same. I dont think the tank can be carried into the aircraft.

Yes, eco-culture closed down but taken over by another. I saw the brand new ADA cube garden there 1.5 weeks ago. Not sure if still there or not.

    Thumbs down

    Guys

I tried to order 3 ADA tanks for my colleagues and myself and the following shows how tough it is just to get a simple quotation: -

8th November 2007 - Email to ADA technical support to enquire about ADA cube garden

12th November 2007 - Wrote another email to ADA technical support requesting the technical support team to answer my queries

13th November 2007 - Japan Tech support forward my enquiries to Singapore/ Malaysia distributor, Aquatic Creation Technologies Sdn Bhd

13th November 2007 - Aquatic Creation wrote me an email and tell me they are following up

14th November 2007 - I am informed that Aquatic Creation has forwarded my request to Japan to get a quote and is still waiting for a reply

16th November 2007 - Email Jap Tech support again but no reply

19th November 2007 - Email Jap Tech support again but no reply

19th November 2007 - Email Aquatic Creation Sdn Bhd again but he mention he is still waiting for Japan to reply

20th November 2007 - Still no reply from all parties.

From the above, it gives me the feeling that we are ordering a ferrari or rolls-royce instead of a tank (5 pieces of glass sticked together). Worst still, the tech support in ADA Japan does not have the courtesy to reply an email from their customers. Weird right? I used to think Japanese companies are extremely efficient and customer orientated..Really disgust by ADA's behaviour.

For those whom own ADA tanks. Do you encounter such difficulties when you purchased your tank?

No... because i spoke to them in japanese... Always first class service...
I think your problem is not ADA... it is English.

Edit* By the way.. you can ship your own tanks back home... i've done it for both my tanks and both arrived just fine. You just need to know how to pack it.

Nope. They have very good service when I ordered my magazines and they were not delivered. My fault actually for giving them wrong address.
After giving them correct address, magazine came within 3 days and got follow-up email within a week to check that I received my stuff.

For my tank, I got it from Eco-Culture when it is in stock. So don't have your problem.

    Justin,

Possible to hand carry back from Japan these days given the heighten security measures at airports, etc?

Well, if I am lucky, I could get my friend to hand carry it back from Japan for me...

Don't think it is that difficult to order the tank or get information on how to get the tank locally..All you need to do is get someone to translate it into Japanese. I am sure on AQ, there are several folks who can do it...

BTW, you sound rather frustrated not being able to get your ADA Tank...

Well, if you were me, obviously you will be fustrated. Even my colleagues are fustrated with their response. If you look at my thread, I have already ask Malaysia/ Singapore distributor for help but they contact Japan ADA but also no news from them.

Probably has plans for the year end holidays coming up. Yeah, Things like this messing up your plans is quite frustrating. Actually you could just get someone to bring it over. Just get your friend to pack it properly, indicate fragile item, say a prayer and check it in. Besides, glassware and pottery do survive aircraft flights.
