Difficulty buying ADA tanks in Singapore!!

The ordering lead-time for ADA products in Singapore is ridiculously long. If you are looking for an ADA tank, you will need to wait at least 2 months. Even you can afford the money, can you afford to wait.

Actually it depends on when you order. Since Singapore Malaysia distributor cannot afford to stock up on all these models, they will compile the orders for their next shipment out of Japan. So if you're lucky it's just a week from when you ordered or unlucky much longer than that.

All the orders are processed by Japan and the wait is unavoidable until they increase their processing capacity. That's what I heard.

I feel that as a distributor, they need to stock some tanks, not all but some. I mean it is ridiculous to say you are a distributor of a top brand but got 0 stock and totally no inventory. As a distributor, I feel they should have sufficient holding power to hold for some stocks of low qty, not all models but not zero stocks on hand..If you compare them to those ADA suppliers in US, you will see the difference. It is a laughing stock

Can't comment on that except that I'm sure they would be willing to stock up if the market was supportive. hint.
As far as I know this a new distributor and the previous distributor closed shop after quite awhile.

Well, I strongly believe the distributor have to do their part to attrach the buyers. For such a famous brand like ADA, you dont even have to advertise to sell. This is already a sure win factor. What you need to is to ensure cost competitiveness, fast service to get more customers. For me, I think Midori did a great job in organising mass order. This is a great idea to get more people to buy ADA. Sad to say, I dont think they are not the distributor and i forsee they are still restricted by the local distributor.

A distributor job is to keep sufficient stocks for retailer to purchase. Qian Hu is a great example.

Actually, I still don't have a clue who is the distributor of ADA in Singapore. Some says is still keong Siong and some say is Midori. Since Midiro just organized a MO 1 month ago. isn't it funny that a distributor has to do an MO?

Yes, I also used to hear people mention Keong Seong & Midori but the ADA website stated

Well, as for Acro Asia, hobbist like us won't know them as they are not normal retailers.

But they are on a commerical scale.

Just like compare 7-11 to Cold storage.

There is no agent or distributor in singapore. Everybody who is selling ADA products are all RESELLERS. hope this helps

Are we all just speculating or really in the business to know who's the main agent of the REGION, and who is the "child" agent in this small country and who is the distributor of this country?

Normally, for distributor they will control the price in the region so I hope they will do something about all these. Long lead time, high prices and no inventory?

Seriously, anyone know Mr Amano? Maybe can do any email to him telling him about the present situation. Well, if what they need are big distributors, Singapore has our home grown Qian Hu right? The distributor of Eheim, Ocean free and they even aquire part of Acradia?

Overall, I feel this is how a distributor should work.

My colleagues & I am looking for ADA cube garden: -

S:31x18x24cm
M:36x22x26cm

Well, I did contact US, they cant shipped over due to distribution restriction. Contacted ADA Malaysia and they say they dont keep stock. I also talk to Midori and they say it probably takes 2-3 months and might not guarantee got stock. Thio from Biotope is also helping to check but I have yet to have any confirmation. 1 kind bro in this forum has helped me to check but it seems that it cannot be shipped to Singapore as it is too fragile.
