for more than 1.5yrs, my Tefe green was doing fine in my 6ft until I added 10 altums 1 month ago, now.. I jus lost the biggest Tefe green i have.. the previous bacth I had, oso end up the same, leaving only the altums.. my query, is it due to the fact, discus cannot compete with altums for food? or like an article in a foreign site stating that Altums carry parasite that Discus is prone to?

    I'm soooo sad []

actually i read that its due to poor water condition, but in both situation, there was altums in the same tank, thats y I wanna believe its parasite from the altums... nevertheless, I oso believe the discus died from something else, which i dunno what it is... a healthy discus dying in 3 days sounds too weird for me

    hi

its not advisable to keep angels with discus, even tho they're from the same waters.

there's a form of parasite thats usually present in angels which is pretty dangerous for discus. this may be why your discus died.

maybe u can look ard the web for more info.

ya, i read about some potent parasite on altums in the latest FAMA mag too. Dun too sad hor, think lor, if 10 big AQ members come one day and stay put at your house and poke poke here and there, you will also have stress bar and headache.

BTW anyone know if Gan still has the small altum available? thinking of getting them when i go down to see Teo's 9' tank. will i have problem mixing them with 100+ tetras in a 4x2x2 tank?

    thanks.

To make matter worst, What if one of the member bring along flu and cough bugs, you'll get it too ! [].
Wild caught fishes usually have some form of harmful parasites in their system, hence it's advisable to Q and treat newly purchase fishes before introducing them to the main tank. Soli for ur loss, Cheer-up man ! bro !.
