Anubias barteri var nana melting

Hi all, I know this has been asked before but not exactly like my case. I bought a few nana golden from LFS and tied them to driftwoods by cotton strings. A few leaves melting away and some new small leaves appear. However, one of the rhisome seem to appear like "peeling" with the surface skin slightly peeling off explosing bright green layer. The rest of the rhisomes of other nana are ok.

My question is it normal for nana to melt leaves and the peeling rhisome will recover? I think it may be due to I tighting the string too tightly on the rhisome to secure it. The string very slightly cut into the fresh. Will it recover by itself or should I do something about it? Funny that the rest i tied tightly also are ok...

My tank parameters:

CO2: 3.4 bps
Lights: 2 x 150w
KH: 4
PH: 6.7
Nitrate: 15 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm

All other plants like crypts etc are ok. Appreciate any advise. Thanks.

Untie and take out the plant. The reason it is melting is because of bacteria infection at the rhizome (due to cut, etc). It is nothing to do with CO2 or lights as it is a hardy plant. Leaves that seem healthy will drop out one by one and the whole plant will die if it spreads and nothing is done.

Cut ruthlessly away the rotten and infected rhizome and root. I even used a brush to clean up the rhizome and root when it happened to my nana last time. Replant the remaining healthy stalk and observe again.

Hi bro, thanks for the advise, the part that's peeling is indeed rotting and I have cut it away, Hope the remaining portion is healthy one.. First time encounter nana rotting
