how to clean algae

i have a lot of spot algae in my spiral glass co2 reactor.
soaked it in chlorine solution and the algae turns transparent.
question is how to clear the scum that is still inside the glass.
just leave it?

i usually leave those unclean, coz I oso cant find a way

I think you can try those flexible pipe cleaners. Can try asking in DIY or hardware stores. Personnally, I just let the algae be as long as they do not clog my apparatus.

does the scum accumulate over time?

can't use flexible pipe cleaners as glass pipe inner diameter is about 3-4mm.

Remember those white featherly flexible cleaner that is used to clean the gas chamber of the M16? They can't be more than 3-4mm in diameter as it is just a piece of wire. Can try Beach Road army accessories stores.

john, the diameter of the diffuser is smaller than that, how?

Well, if the diameter of the diffuser is smaller than the thinnest pipe cleaners one can find, I guess there are no other ways but to live with it. Continue with the clorine treatment and conceal the diffuser strategically if necessary.As long as the diffuser is not clogged, thats ok

even if you can find a small enough pipe cleaner, i still face the problem of trying to push the pipe cleaner through a spiral glass tube &gt;10 turns.

Maybe u want to try to use just those normal glass diffuser, even thou those still will be affected. It's easier to remove those transparent scum just by spraying it with water and shaking it upside down(becareful don't drop it).

just bought this spiral glass diffuser so have to stick with it.
