May I know when/how long after your BDS release its eggs before you actually see the shrimplets? I am asking because my CRS seems to have released its eggs too but shrimplets are no where to be seen among the thick moss mount that I have in my tank.

Hate Faith bro!! i Bet the babies are just hiding amongst the moss as they often do, and since they're so minute you cant see them! We wait to hear good news and pictures from you too!

    Cheers

Hi, i notice you kept some very good grade CRS with some not so good ones together. Aren't you afraid that they breed and cause the offspring to be of a lousier grade?

Rule of thumb for aquarium, get the biggest tank you can afford. Water is much stable, whether you use fan or chiller. Shrimps dont like too much water changes, topping up water = changing the parameter of your tank water. If possible at least go for 1.5ft tank. Smaller tank tend to be more challenging when it comes to maintaining the water parameter and it doesnt mean it can't be done. I would rather go for the biggest if I can to minimise deaths.

    Hi All Bros,

just wonder if anyone remove their pregnant females from orignal tank & place in a indivdual tank for spawning?
Is it better this way or just leave them in orignal tank to spawn?

I should say leave it unless you have fishes in the tank. Stress the female, she might drop her eggs.

leave it alone in the tank.
taking the female out and transfering into anything tank will stress the female. resulting in dropping of eggs, or even death if the female is overly stressed.

anyway, i think i got 10+ black diamond shrimp going around 0.5cm.. a few crs i spotted already 1cm.. hopefully they will grow up healthily =)
