Hi all,I am having a big problem. My 1st batch of fries is about 7mm now and the last time they fall in is at the count of 40.All of them are staying in the bunk of 1ft cube tank.I had to do area cleaning every other day to maintain the water condition.Any suggestion of adding good filter medium to control the water condition. The fries really eat alot and poo alot.

Best to move them to bigger tank with a air operated & matured sponge filter. Make sure sponge has large surface area. Leave it as a bare tank so its easy for you to spot left overs and siphon them during water change.

Try to change 1/3 of tank volume once every 3 days since we all have busy schedules. Fries tend to grow faster in big tanks and frequent water changes. Try varying their diet with greens (as in green water) & live food. Crushed flakes can be occassional treats but wouldn't suggest pellets.

    Good luck with your brood.

2 choice for me now,no.1:sell away my adult pair to split the fries into 2 tank,no.2: sell away some fries but I think they are too small,no additional tank option available.
