first batch fries are abt 8 mm in length... and they are swimming in the tank with the parents and younger siblings (2nd batch, 4mm) while 3rd and 4th batches are still hanging in the canister.... probably by tomorrow will be free-swimming...

    they kinda spawn every week...

Was reading from your post in bettabite.com (I still can't post. Can help?) and someone mention that having a red wash is no good. Can elaborate? Thanks.

red wash is a major fault in show grade bettas, especially in royal blue, steel blue and green bettas i suppose? wild bettas also have the red wash problem???

it's not red wash la bro...lol:

persephone is under coccina (e.g. coccina, rutilans, brownorum etc) group, which is generally red in colour... so when persephone is young they still have the basic red colour in them, including the ventral fins, even the body is reddish brown when they are smaller, but when they grow up to 2-2.5 cm, their blackness will eventually develop...

even the wild parents have the slight tinge of red in their body but they are black as a whole...

btw 'longkanghee' a forummer, explained already...
