    Hi

This is probably my first post in AQ.

I got a pair of the above mentioned recently. They are really nice and I fell for it.

They male initally chased the female all over the place, but they seem to have got along.

Just in case the squabble starts again, what would be a good dither fish to add.

Currently I keep then in a 2ft tank with neutral PH. I have a 9l pack ada amazona II, was thinking of using it. Do I need to put in as many plant as possible to keep any ammonia in check?

    Nicholas

    nicktl,
    welcome to AQ!
I love the Pelvicachromis too. I owned a pair of Pelvicachromis Taeniatus Nigerian Red.
Love the vibrant color. Same as yours, the male is always chasing the female around, but from time to time the female would flare and chase the male away. I got 10 Celestichthys margaritatus "Galaxy" as dithers and tank is lightly planted with 2 caves for them to hide. If you to see more of them don't plant heavily.
Tetras would do well as dithers too.

Thanks for the advice on dither.

The male is really good at digging. It has created a ‘cave’ under the driftwood for itself.
