    Hi all

Like to share with you my 'high maintenance' 2.5ft tank

Lots of light, Co2, Fert and weekly prunning.

Very tiring but the tank is small and I am fine If it is a 4ft, I will drop dead

i don't have a good visual imagination, so i can't really visualise how hardscape and plants will interact to form a nice scape...that's why my scapes always end up really ugly lol =)

    very nice tank!

try to trim the plants at the back to a desired shape u want, probably a v shape scape. Then they will grow to be bushier and it will look gorgeous!

Hi Maurice, very nice and very good use of delicate colours. Tank does look very much bigger than stated. I'd swap the fishes for something smaller like Boraras brigittae?

    Beautiful!!!

Your aquascape are always pleasing to the eyes (to mine at least). I love the dash of redness behind the "break" in the foreground.

Will this be going in for the next year's contest?

Hi Stan, point taken and I will use smaller fishes. I have another 2.5ft with Boraras Brigittae but i hardly see the fish

Hi Benny, thanks for the kind comment. I love this tank too. But I don't think it is ready for contest yet Certainly photographic skill still not there

Use a lot of them then!!! 75-100. They look really good when they colour up. Their size would be very proportionate and a little shooing of them makes them school.

I would certainly like to have shrimps in it. Put in 30 cherry shrimps before but as this tank has been on the high side of Co2, Fe, trace and NPK, most of the shrimps couldn't make it in a week. Sad

Oh that's no issue at all. I'm sure help is just a post away if you need a small working group to bring the tank to it's fully glory as one would see it live. Don't be shy to ask, but give us enough time to recce and plan for the shoot.

    Cheers,

Personally... i like the size of fishes now.. i mean.. different fish but similar size...
My old 3ft had a problem of fishes that were too small....even with a lot of them....you kinda just see red specks...which when viewed in person..is fine..and very nice..because you can go close to see the fish yourself.. but when you are taking a picture...then the fish becomes little red specks...Its possible to make them out as fishes..but the presence is not there...
