Personally, I like Gan's Cardinals. They are in rather good condition. Also it well quarantined (spell?). So no worries there.
Juz my opinion:
It's true that Discus can live in a 2ft tank. Although everything seems fine but to a certain extent it's not too healthy. If you have lotsa deco, it even worse as you will risk trapping the discus. Frankly, they are rather clumsy and if they get stuck, they will die if you don't help them out in time. I would recommend to get a bigger tank if you want to keep discus.

Oh..... if your bio load of your tank is high... it's better to use the 2224
guess what i used for my 2 feeter....
orignally and still using the overhead filter...... on top of that cos due to i am have my new tank in the month end.... I plug my spare 2026 into my 2 feeter to cycle the filter...
before the I adjust the flow rate.... really it's like tiger wave in the tank..... now OK lah...
BTW how long does a filter good bacteria need to colonise in the filter????

2 weeks approx.

2 questions guys/gals:
1) I've setup the 2224 for my 2ft tank. It's not really an overkill cos there's a flow control. But I'm not too sure what to use as filter media. There are 2 trays and I've filled 1 with ceramic rings. Also am using the blue and white sponge from eheim. Should I fill the remaining tray with sintered glass or zeolite stones?
2) I'm using a 2026 for my 4ft aro tank. It comes with ceramic rings and zeolite stones. Should I remove the zeolite stones? Cos previously my 4ft tank never used zeolite stones and the nitrate levels were never high. How long before a new pack of zeolite stones have to be changed?
you never need to put in zeolite in your tank except to remove medication.
it removes ammonia so you can use it on an emergency basis (but it will release that ammonia in the presence of salt), but long term wise, it will prevent your tank from cycling properly.
sintered glass or ceramic rings will do.
In my quest to reduce nitrate I've added stuff like seachem's denitrate, and jbl's cermec(I think, the clay beads one)

zeolite stones? What is that? Didn't know that Eheim had zeolite stones.----------------
