When I read the title, I thought the tank is located in a car park Is it?

Do you supply oxygen to the tank because the light is low intensity? The bubbling looks strong. Any chance of shifting the big rocks to near centre?

    Hi Zenscape,

You got me wrong, that's my short form name, make me laugh, if the fish tank in the carpark everything will be gone.

The oxygen supply for the cherry shrimps not for the plant, sometime the shrimps play around the air. I will try shifting the rock to the centre, may be good idea. My lighting 36w should be ok for 2ft x 1ft x 1ft tank.

    Thanks for your advise.

hi, feel that you should use a external cannister instead of air pump, dont look too nice in a planted plus a cannister has many benificial returns. Another thing is you do not use base fertilizer? think flora does better with base fertilizer.
    just my 2cents
    cheers

To be honest, the tank looks a bit too artificial to me. Your tank is split into 3 quadrants with bright pebbles & large stones. The small pebbles looks like pathway to the end. From what i can see you're not quite sure which do you want to make it your focal point. The pathway or the stone?
If you want your pathway to be the focal point, compliment it with plants around it & use smaller rocks. If you want your stone to be the focal point, ditch the pathway.
If you have extra cash, buy an external filter. It would be much better than using air bubbles. In fact planted tanks don't use bubbles as they agitate the water & will cause CO2 to escape, that's why it's not advisable to have air pumped into your tank.
36w is a little bit on the low side. Your ferns will do just fine, but your foreground plants might require stronger lights..

    Hi RHX,
Thanks for the advise and my tank looks different now as I posted my 2nd. photo in Aquarium photo gallery>miscellanous category. I intend to get a external cannister but not CO2 cylinder at the moment. The air temperory for the shrimps and pebble stones will tie with moss and later won't see white anymore, cover by moss. Nice hearing from you.

    Cpark
