it's about 2watts per gallon, which is considered medium lighting. most plants will be ok, but certain foreground plants will grow upwards instead of creeping horizontally and more demanding plants will not thrive

for high lighting, try 6x 39W or a single 250w MH

Like what Bro shadow and illumnae, it really depends on what you planting. I am currently using 39w x 6 with individual reflector for my 3 x 2 x 2, somehow, the low lying plants aren't doing that great. The degree of penetration by light should be considered as well. I would recommand a mixture of tubes, 6500k and 10 000k to solve this problem.

That maybe because of your tank depth, 2ft hard to penetrate, maybe need MH

If you have budget to play with, try a light panel set with 4 x T5 tubes and 1 single MH for a 3ft.

    For low light configuration, you can do this: 3hr T5 - 4hr MH - 3hr T5.

For high light configuration, you can do this: 2hr T5 - 6hr MH - 2hrT5 or something else.

It will be very flexible for you to switch between high and low light, also when the initial period when you need lesser of certain lighting. For my shop, i use 2x150W MH for 322ft as it is totally filled with high light plants.
