    Shellies

Shellies, like their name imply, loves to make their home in shells.
At the slightest sign of danger they will zoom into their shell.
I got a picture here, courtesy of ectan, showing exactly what I mean.
Well the fellow didn't quite make it into the shell, but you know what I mean.

    Hi,

Shellies in the Tanganyika lake inhabit the empty shells of Neothauma snails that litter the lake floor.
They live & spawn in these empty shells.

For different species of shellies, check out this site :

    Hey Richard,

Nice picture of the Golden ocellatus, with the tail sticking out.

How's the brevis doing in their new home ?

    ec,
The lamprologus brevis have settled down and eating.
Have already picked out the shells that they wanted and settled down
to a routine of eating, flaring and chasing each other around.
I like the picture of the Golden ocellatus, half hidden in the shell,
    real funny.
