They can't haev very strong light direct at them, water condition should be stable. once crytos got use to your water condition , they are very hardy.

Abt strong light, I have mine under direct lighting... They dun melt, just got spot algae growing.... -_-

Quite irritating.. can't get the PMDD formula correct... anyone with tips?

are they new from the farm? could be transiting from emersed to submersed form.

Crpts are rather fussy abt water condition stability. They are known to be hardy plants but if the conditions change e.g. lighting or temperature they will melt. But they will come back to grow new leaves eventually.

what exactly causes crypts to melt is kinda hard to pin down
my own experience with crypts melting is the water
seasoned, aged water is best for crypts
