Hi! I am a newbee here and this is my first time joining a forum. So please be patient with me and thank you for this forum because i will need some help on how to completely set up a planted arowana tank. I was surfing some other site but it seems this forum has a lot of member that is very helpful and knowledge about planted arowana. Here in USA we cannot own asian arowana < so I am getting an Australian Jardini. Right now from reading your forum my 100gl tank is almost ready. Substrate, gravel,2T5,XP3 filter, some plants and feeder fish is now cyling for about three weeks. My Aro will be coming arround three more weeks so I am very excited to see how it goes.
This is for now and I will inform you all later. Thanks again for this forum.

    Hi,

You can always post in our sub forums. There are only a few members who did a planted arowana tank.

I believe one of the moderator, Vinz did a planted arowana tank before.

You could seek him for advice.

    Cheers

    Welcome herosipet

to AQ!!! Hope this forum brings you much information as it has brought many of us..

You can post your questions about the planter tank here. This is especially for beginners to ask questions on tank set up etc. You just need to click "New Thread". If you have any specific questions on the arowana, there is a "Freshwater fauna" thread that you can post as well.

Hope this is of some help

    Planted Jardini

The Three weeks old without the Jardini.

One month old cycling without the Jardini.

A month and a half still cycling.

Two Months old now with the Jardini.

    My 7inches Jardini.

    Same Jardini.

I really don't know the names of my plants because I bought in bunch
with out a tug at our lfs. This tank is not equipt with CO2. Somebody told me I need some kind of a moss plant to control my PH. Is that true? Please advice or give comment to help me keep my Jardini healthy.
    Thank You.
