More Apistogramma pictures

Cool pics of the Apistogrammas man!! is it my screen or is there a purplish hue?

The photos does seem to turn out too bluish/purplish. I did a custom white balance by shooting at the leaves before taking the shots.

Can you please share your setup & settings with a newbie.

My setup is very similiar to his descriptions and photos. Just caves, some woods and a filter for them. And i'm using ADA aquasoil to lower the pH of the water so that i need not bother about adding additives into the water.

I got into fish photography not too long myself and am still learning too.

I am using a Canon 350 DSLR with a EF 100mm f2.8 macro lens. The most important thing to take note of is adequate lighting. So i always use 2 flashes for my shots. The flashes are placed ontop of the tank and i trigger them by means of a wireless trigger (ST-E2). My aperture setting is set at f/13.

Also, make sure you are parallel to the tank glass. If not you will get some distortions caused by the glass.

So it is not my monitor that is showing the purple hue.
Try using WB shift instead. Sometimes the custom WB gives kuku results.

Great shots again.

You have three flashes now! Try using the third one to light up the belly.
