Remembered I read something on Killies.com that suddenly everyone reported their Erect moss turned brown around the same time. After that, seems Erect moss had disappeared from the local scene.

My erect moss turned brown at the same time like folks at killies.com. It was sometime in July - August last year (can't really remember). Must be something added by PUB... or a global thing?? The problem in growing erect moss is that you don't know the reason why it wither away..

Har?? so that means now in singapore we are not able to find this moss anymore??? I hope that is not the case...it was such a scape-able moss!!!! almost one of the most scape-able in my books!!! that would be such a pity!!!

it's almost impossible to get in singapore as most of them were wiped out.

Maybe if someone manage to spot it somewhere abroad can bring some back to try start off this species again.![]()

I have some erect moss in my tank but it the problem is it does not shows the typical characteristic of erect moss
I am very sure it is erect moss because it was growing abundantly in my tank before a did a major re-landscaping. After I re-tied it to a piece of drift wood, it goes into hibernation mode. Did not die off but grow very slowly.
The same thing happened 3 years ago when I brought it from Nature. Did not do well at first, only "erect" after 9 months. This time it is still in hibernation state after 1 yr+. Still waiting for it to "erect".
sounds quite tempermental to me..haha..
