Need Urgent Help!! Peruvian Angel with hole in head disease!

Guys, please help.

One of my jumbo Peruvian has got hole in the head and this is the time i have got it in just six months. I have already lost two of my jumbos to this ailment and i do not intend to loose this one too as he is one of my confirm breeding pair and really jumbo.

Can the experts here please advise?

I don't know if Peruvian's respond to my cure, but my previous experience with discus infected with hole in the head, I just feed them with some small glass prawns that are crushed(those bought in packs of $2 at lfs)

Hole in the head to me seems like a disease caused by fish inadequate diet (missing calcium), really serious hole in the head cause by parasites are mostly deadly,the disease eat away the fish head, treatment with anti-biotics are necessary, but most fish won't survive the treatment.

Update. The fellow has since recovered. I didn't do much except feed him some jumbo brine shrimps from bedok 85 market. Check on him today and he is prefectly ok except a very small dot. Other than that nothing else. Thanks for all the advice and fast reply given.

if you did not apply any medication, the HITH is still there, once your water parameter or fish is not feeling well, HITH will appear again. Take note.

Bro is it lateral head erosion or is it hole in the head. Both looks rather similar. One is caused by malnutrition while the other parasite
