    Noob question:
    when the finnage of a caca is orange or yellow, is it an indication of multiple inbreeding? How true is this?

    Remember, these fishes are aquarium strains, so there is mostly some degree of inbreeding in them.

    Thats usually the case.

    Here's my experience with Ap. cacatuoides.

    Triple red male + Triple red female = F1 triple reds
    Triple red male + Yellow varient female = F1 triple reds
    F1 triple red male + F1 triple red female = F2 mixture of triple reds and orange flash.
