Xmas moss. They creep and cling to whatever they can grab hold of.

Hi bros,
I'm not sure which type of moss to use to create a carpet like effect...
I'm looking for moss that don't grow upwards but growing a little sideways and not too messy...
They will be tied onto rocks and spread on the bottom of the tank.
Can any kind bros advise? thanks!![]()

maybe you can try using anchor moss. it's quite similar to christmas moss.
NA uses spikey for their moss carpet in the shrimp tank..not bad![]()

bro, how about sharing your tank's equipment as well, if your tank has low temperature you can venture into almost any kind of moss. If your tank does not even have a fan, you might want to consider those that do not really require low temperature to grow nicely.
Adoketa, Breitbinden, Paciquamis, Diplotaenia, Elizabethae, Mendezi, Inka, Agassizi, L046, L066, Crystal Red Shrimps

Its a 6ft tank with 2 x Oceanfree 6 fans....using T5 lights so heat output is quite minimal
Seems like anchor moss and weeping moss are better choices? as I hear that x'mas moss needs cold temperature to so well...
Any pictures of moss tank setups for reference? Thanks![]()
Kinda a newbie in moss

I use Mini Taiwan Moss for lawn, they are finer and more grass-like, and grows well.![]()
All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.

US fissiden is one of the most beautiful moss I've seen. Though it grows upward, its growth rate is relatively slow and it will not grow high like plants. But quite expansive.
Under the right conditions it can actually grow rather quickly. I use spiky moss in my planted, water temp usually around 26C with CO2 and fert addition, and it grows all over the place.
