Sorry if it sound stupid. I saw some hill of moss very nice! Wanted to try attempting it on my own. Do I have to buy a bunch and tie it together like a ball and let it grow on its own? Thanks alot! And which moss is the nicest for moss hill?

Easiest way is to build a hill using sand/soil and attach the moss to stainless steel meshes(available at most of your LFSs) and lay these prepped meshes on the hill.
Another way is to also build the hill with sand/soil and just lay the mosses down on the hill, mist down the mosses and cover the tank. Let the mosses grow and once you're sure they've taken root, start filling the tank with water. This method takes a longer time, but will work just as well as the first method.
