    Hi ppl

May I ask what is the best moss to use to achieve the tree top effect as below?

Found this competition tank's pic and inspired. What are the difficulties?

think the moss there was spiky... but its relatively easy to do...just have to have the patience to tie and trim.

This is Filipe Oliviera's tank -Syrah Planura.

As for the execution, it's not difficult, I love the idea, it's excellent. You need to find lots of varying sizes of rocks to create the path. You can fuse a few branches from different pieces, the moss will cover up the joints as he's done.

Finding the ideal "trunk" is the challenge IMO.

I've seen the New Oasis Tropica Fish lfs in Johor carrying a luxurious choice of ADA wood.

now with a bigger pic, the moss looks like taiwan moss at the 'tree top'
on the 'foot path' seems like spiky moss.

    this is so inspiring.

Biotope is selling ceramic models of trees where you can tie the moss on to the branches, it will look good in a 1 to 2 feet tank, but will be too small for a 3 footer.

Looks like a mix of hairgrass and E. Tenellus to me.
Very nice execution, but can you be bothered to constantly trim to keep the moss in shape? I know I can't. I wish I had the kind of patience and commitment that he has.
