    Hi pple,

    Just a question to ask:
I've presently got a mated pair of false clowns residing in a large white carpet anemone. For some reason I think I'll have to remove the anemone from the tank. Would it be OK for me to remove the anemone? I dunno if the clownfish will feel homeless and stressed - any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Hong Yee

why do u want to remove the anemone?? should u want to remove it, the clownfishes will be fine without the anemone..

Haha, cos I've got a pair of Kuda and a pair of Barbouri seahorses in there, the anemone's posing a big danger to them. They are doing well in the tank, so I decided to give up on the anemone. Where will the clowns sleep or hang out without an anemone then? They are now constantly around the anemone and I really think they'll become quite sad without it.

    Hi Dragon Gobby,

    - I am no expert in Marine yet (still learning everyday), but is wondering why u have to removed the White Carpet anemone since the crowns are enjoying it. I got a suggestion, if you don't mind, I can exchanges one of my anemone with your white carpet anemone (since I dun have one).

    Cheers

Why not set up another tank for the clowns or sea horses?
That way you can keep everything...

    Hei James,

I set up another tank for the seahorses instead. [] My mom liked the clowns so much she refused flatly to let me get rid of the anemone! haha...

    Thats good news!
Hopefully the sea horses will do just as well in this tank, and wont have to avoid any anemones!
Make sure they have something to hold on to...here is a pic from my lfs..

Hey thanks, James, for the pic and info! I've been surfing around www.seahorse.org and there are really nice people there who do help a lot!

Anyway Vanan, got the horses from Hong Leong. Be careful though, some of them will need a whole load of coaxing before they'll take even life adult brine shrimp. I feed them frozen mysis shrimp enriched with spirulina, and live brine shrimp once a week. Interesting to see the way they change colours!
