Hi all, just got this tank recently whilst working in Oslo, Norway.
Over here, I've learnt to appreciate what was available in Singapore.

The bare tank
The end product
The nightlight
now... the cost!!
Tank - NOK495 = SGD132
Plants (java fern, crypto wendtii, micro amazon sword) - NOK100 = SGD27
5 x Danio choprae - NOK125 = SGD33
Gravel - NOK20 = SGD5
frozen shrimp eggs - NOK29 = SGD8
Rocks - FREE from roadside.
Total cost in SGD 205!!!!
I'm stocking up with stuff from Singapore when i get back!

Where is the heater? Norway should be really cold for those fishes.
frozen shrimp eggs? curious, what is that for? fish food?
Hi, thanks for the responses and queries.
Not using any heater for this tank at the moment.
am actually placing the tank next to the heater in my room, hoping that it is sufficient to keep the tank warm. i am assuming that if my room temp is sufficient for me to survive, it should be warm enough for the fishes (approx. 20 deg i think).
as for the frozen shrimp eggs, i have also never heard of them till i came over to Oslo. Heard that they are the same as decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, though i have never seen decapsulated brine shrimp eggs myself. fish are eating it up happily, so its good enough for me!
next up, betta tank in Jan'08!

205 is still a managable cost. Most of my conditioners including the sechem series cost a total of 100+ , with fauna/plants as well as essential tank setup, my gex genoah 200 tank alone set me back at least 300.
Anyways, keep up and let us know once the tank matures, should look pretty good.
