no body can help?
hi guys. anyone tried using air valve(if im not wrong) to control the bps produced by the diy co2?
the air valve i mean is those metal or plastic thing that you attach you a tube and use for alcamizing fishes or using it to control the air pump. was wondering issit possible to use it for diy co2 as it can control the amount of air coming out. will the whole bottle explode due to too much pressure in the bottle?
thanks

Those air-valves are not air-tight and so won't work.
You won't be able to control DIY CO2 flow rate. Anyway, the CO2 production is very slow. Depending on how you diffuse the CO2 in your tank, it is unlikely to cause an overdose.

i will be using a very small ceramic diffusor.. its not about overdosing co2. but its about the inbalance co2 level...
You can use those that use for pneumatic control. They are air tight..
Yup try that before using those metal valve use for air pump. I'm using 2 headed valve, you can't use 1 headed becuase it might cause the bottle over pressure and explode. Instead of controling the amount of CO2 to the tank (I'm using flipper), I'm controlling the amount of CO2 release to the air. It does not work though because it is not like needle valve where I can have precise control.
think even if you use a metal air valve to control the rate, with the DIY setup, there is not enough pressure to sustain the same pressure of release of the co2, and sooner or later , the ceramic diffusor will clog up and the rate and resistance will change and it will also be unreliable.
that is my experience with a ceramic diffusor.
imho.
