what's the lowest wattage for aquarium heaters suitable for 1 ft tank and what are the estimated dimensions of the smallest heaters you guys know of?
cos to my understanding lowest is about 25 watts and they seem to be pretty big and unsightly...any recomendations on how to keep temp fluctuations to a minimum in a tank in a room with aircon on only in the evening? is it more feasible to use small cpu cooling fans instead of heater to lower the temp when the air con is not on.any suggestions?

A smaller rated heater does not mean the physical size it's smaller.

Your air con is switched on for how long? If for a short time, then I don't think is necessary unless the fish you're keeping is very sensitive kind.
    Cheers!!
