Any one knows how come the leaves of my crypt keeps melting away and have holes in the leaves? is it some kind of deficiency? or has it got to do with my water paremeters?

    Tank size: 4ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft
    Lightings: 2 x 150W mh ( 10 hours /day)
Filtration: Eheim 2028 connected to a resun 650 and Jaebo connected to a uv light.
C02 injection: around 4bps with reactor ( solenoid turn on and off with my lightings)
Substrate:base fertilizer top with Ada amazonia

Difficult to say. But holes in leaves might be a lack of potassium.

Irregular formation and holes in leaves or brittle stems are sign ok k deficiency. But, melting of leave for crypt is normal. When u have high light and co2, u need lots of fert.

poor co2 meaning to say co2 ppm too low or co2 not well circulated throughout the tank?

Not sure about that and only you would know better as different scape impede flow in different ways as does efficiency of CO2 dissolving devices. Bio-indicators like the presence of BBA on the leaves tells something.

You need to remember that with more light comes more CO2 demand and getting that high as soon as possible is even more critical now. Amano doesn't use his MH all day long, what he does is go low light initially and then a noon burst of 3-5 hrs before going back to low light again.

ok. thank you for your advice. maybe i will alternate my lightings interval. 4hrs on 2hrs off then follow by another 4hrs on. is that ok in your opinion?

You can either work on your CO2 system to make sure it is efficient enough to meet the CO2 demands and have a good response time or raising the MH light up further to lower its intensity.

Think 10hr with mh abit too much also. Me 4x1.5x2 only 7 hrs on 3,3,4 routine.
