i didn't buy the story when sherwin and simon told me , until i tried myself. Got frogbits from Simon and try, within 2wks it cover the whole 6ft surface. It' was good initally until the tank some how deteriotes . There were plenty of algae even thou i change water. my MH lights can't penetrade the dense Frogbits.

Fedup, so decided to remove every single frogbit, out come much better.

i guess it's the amount of frogbits that are present. Too many and the plants can't reach the lights too little and too much light. Well if i did balance the lights it shouldn't be a problem. Anyway all i did was to put more stem plants and problem solve no need for frogbits.
    Cheers!

So lesson is frogbits is a good sponge for nitrates, but remove completely or leave a few once nitrates are down.

Anyway, weileong... if your echinodorus not doing well, its unlikely to be PO4 too much. They usually go crazy with high PO4, unless something else is limiting them.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

okie already removed all the frogbits. Plants started to bubble again.

Then I add some 2 tsp of KCL and plants are giving out more bubbles. Sure looks very promising. I'll watch the developments. Seems like tropica mastergrow is insufficient.
