Swee! (nice!) The 3rd dorsal fin is going to grow longer yet!

    Hi Richard,

you certainly work fast! The pair hasn't even reached their final destination yet and already you've posted their pics in AQ.

    Eugene,
I was hoping the 3rd would grow up long like your Apistogramma bitaeniata.
    Thanks for your comments.

Chris, shot the photo earlier but not sure whether to post or not cause photo is bad, too yellow. Any photoshop magic to touch up the photo?

If your water is not clear. I doubt any Photoshop will do any much help.

A handsome fish there! Softwater will help its finnage development very much. Is this a wild specimen from the locality 'Tucano'?

Really from tucano? But the belly looks kind of orangish. I've been searching this species for quite sometime but to no avail.

I thought Tucano was rather common at one time. Apistoworldhk seems to have quite afew. Maybe you could PM him.

    wiki, lee,
sorry I don't know which locality this fellow come from.

Gene, I think so too, water so yellowish, nothing except a water change can help, but no choice the fish was only in my house for 3 days. Have to shoot on the 3rd day just before the owner brought it back.

Yeah plus Tucano does not really have a red belly. Just red face I believed. I prefer one without the presence of a red belly. Here's one from medeiros http://forum.apistogramma.com/showth...abethae+tucano

Hi Richard, thanks. The water coloration in your picture is yellowish, hence impeding the full coloration of the fish, that's why I asked for its locality.

    Thanks for fish-sitting Richard

I bought the pair from nicktc. All I know is that he bought them from Biotope. Maybe he can tell us a bit more about the fish...

    Here's a pic

    Thanks Richard.

Still trying to save for my macro lens but at the moment free funds diverted to Apistos first . I'll have to make do with my kit lens.
