I believe that pair has alot of potential.

    You should consider that pair.

This is my personal take. I have seen that pair before.

honestly speaking, don't be turned off by spending abit more to obtain a quality pair of fish. in the long run, you won't regret it. it's better than buying a cheaper pair, then seeing others out there that are so nice and regretting your purchase. then you end up selling your pair (usually at a loss) and buying an expensive pair anyway. some things are just worth the money, and a pair of good quality apistos is one of those things!

It's best to buy when they're young. If they're confirm pair that is. Apisto spawn as young as 6months of age or 3months sorry couldn't remember. Lost my touch. At lease borelli are peaceful apisto. They'll not kill their partner once they enter the tank.

unlike previous purchases of apisto, once they enter the tank they start killing each other and fishing out their bodies the next very day. That's irony.

understand the perception of size & value for money. If you're talking about character, borelli have a huge character, only you can decide if thats worth the money. Nothing is more beautiful than a fish with it's very own character.
    Cheers!

Thats right, ever seens I got a pair of "a bit higher price" Agassizii, life has never been the same.
My take is to spend $60 to buy a good pair rather than to spend $30 to buy 2 lower grade pair.

Dwarf cichlids have short life span generally. 2-3, max 4 years.
Buy big size, you are looking at maybe 1+ year old fish. That will give you about 1+ year of enjoyment. So young fish is not a bad thing.

But you don't see the full glory of it at the very beginning. But that's also the joy of fish keeping seeing your pet grow right?

borellis are actually one of the easier apistos to keep, together with cacatuoides agassizii and trifasciatas

    Hi Bro..

Just came back from Biotope.. Saw the pair of Borelli.. IMO.. Not very small pair and price also quite reasonable.. Both parents are a beauty..

Besides they just breed.. Saw all those very small fries swimming around in the tank.. The female is in a stunting yellow color..

    Regards
