Nice and simple
About HC, there were observations by many that floating HC grew even more. Perhaps, they will grow better under higher intensity of light, in this case, nearer to light source.

Hi guys,
here is a pic of my latest small tank.
It's about 45cm * 25cm *25 cm
27 watts PL lights, 10-12 hours a day ( no timer, so on in the morning, and off when back from work)
CO2 injection pressurized, diffuser method, 1-2 bubbles per min, non-stop
(I've noticed it is better with non-stop, though i am not advocating this method yet, because I think it helps maintain a low pH and ensure there is always a constant level of Co2 in the tank.)
Fert: KH2Po4 Powder, seachem flourish, iron, nitrogen, potassium. EI method. water change 50% once or twice a week, depending on free time.
Trimming: once a week, dependent on growth.
PLant: hairgrass, MM, HC?, another stem plant I used to know how to name, spiky moss, some unwanted glosso, some unwanted e tenellus.
FIsh: Ruby tetras and 1 otto
here are the pictures. Tank is 3 weeks old.
With No background
WIth a black(brown in fact) background.
one question:
I noticed that the HC plant (see picture) just melt when planted in the ada africana soil. When left hanging in mid water, it just grows. So now I am thinking of just potting the plant in sponge after i trimme and put it in the tank just as they are usually sold in fish shop.

agree, its growing better at higher intensity of light.

hmm, as soon as I put the HC in soil right under the lights, the next day it melt. if it is hanging in mid water (even with roots developing), near or in less intense lighted placed, it grows. this is my first try with HC, I wonder if it is like the downoi.
For those rooted and still growing, well the botton half has melted, and the top half is growing because it guess it is not in soil.
