Hi all,my pair of super red spawn successfully again.2 observation from me:
1.They spawn at the very 1st set up of rock cave again. They had refused to spawn twice(only dance around it) when I change it to drift wood with moss and some java ferns.
2.This spawn only manage to hatch 5 fries, very much reduced from the 1st round which got 50 fries. The female didnt take in alot of food prior to the spawn may be the reason, the 1st round she eat a lot of dry/wet food.
    Any comment/s?

Separate the female and fatten her like the bettas... with good food like.... blood worms, daphnia, brine shrimp and sea monkeys... for a few days... after that introduce them back again... the quantity should be increase as females has spawn before...which means..the reproduction mechanism has been activated with the good food to induce optimal condition with maxima production...

My 1 dollar worth... contra with the coming 5.5% inflation along the way...

Isn't brine shrimps the same as sea monkey? Anyway, to the question, driftwood with moss and java fern are tied with fishing line? Normally apisto prefer clean breeding media. Therefore breeders use clay flower pots and other media that doesn't require tying of aquatic plants on it.
    Cheers!

    Hi Bro,

Are those frozen Hikari brine shrimp pack good for the female Apisto before spawn?
