    so far its been pathetic growth with it...wanted to create a carpet effect but nothing so far...
    its been growing a little taller, and new leaves sprout out into ground way...but i have yet to see runners or any other form of propagation...
    WHY?
    2ft tank.
    55w pl 6hrs
    co2 2-3 bps
    dosing-nutrafin npk.
    root+ basefert lapis sand gravel
    fan keeping tank mostly 26c

    so what went wrong? its been 3mths already and my e tenellus is spreading like wildfire but the jap hairgrass no effect..

    Have you tried trimming it. Just snip the top off a bit and that would help it spread.

    My experience with Jap hairgrass, it is slow starter, but once it start it can be quite fast.

    i've replanted all my jap HG after my shrimp and snail died yesterday, feeling quite upset now. Anyways, redid the scape. added stones from biotope, noticed my HG from my previous tank suffered alot, most of them had dead leaves and only a few greens, had to throw 20% of them away. Growing them in emmerse form now, not sure if its a faster approach. Will let you know bengho.
