    hi,

i am thinking of using a background for my cube tank but cant decide which is nicer. its an iwagumi setup with brown and slight reddish ohko rocks and hairgrass. i have seen some of amano tanks and most iwagumi background are white, so which do you guys think is nicer?

Keep your options open. Have both. You can finalize later if you don't like. If you have a white wall, just keep a black oyama on standby.

Would the black background make the whole setup seem darker? I suppose Iwagumi theme should look clean and bright, however you should try both to see which one is better. Maybe can post a pic of each theme.

    Cheers

I think white background is nicer ... but the challenge is that any slight algae is also very obvious.
