whats in Aqua Journal? is it in english? 500yen is quite cheap to subscribe...

only a few issues are in english, the rest are in japanese if im not wrong. why not click the link shadow bro put up? its the website that will tell you the contents of each issue of aquajournal.

Aqua Journal is written only in Japanese. It is a monthly magazine produced by ADA, with each month focusing on one particular aspect of aquascaping. Like the December's issue is on how to create an aquascape which is lasting.

Ben, with regards on which issue you want to get, first is what you want to know? Because, not all the back copies are available. There is a few recent ones which are interesting imo, for example: using nature as inspiration for scapes, iwagumi, scapes for small tanks, ADA movie. But all are in Japanese.

Like hebi mentioned, only 6 issues of the Aqua Journal was translated by VectraPoint previously. However, company stopped doing it.

The only other publishing that's in English are the catalogs, like the new 2008 one.

for the english version, you need to do some scouting around, it ended publication in late 90s? or 2000, can't remember, so place still have them.

I bought contest 2005 and 2007 and the 2008 catalog. Browse through briefly the 2008 catalog and summaries:

1. Contains photos of 7 tanks setups by Amano himself including detail explanation of iwagumi layout components (main, side, support stones labelling). Of course all eye-popping and wow factors. Another new incusion is the photo of a real nice rock landscape scenary which he got the inspiration from for one of his tank.

2. Detailed explanations and prices of all the lastest ADA equipments.

3. Includes both Jap and English translations.

4. The paper is thinner than previous catalog but the quality of the printing maintains.

5. Overall, very goof buy considering I got it only for 900 yens == ard $11
