these rocks looks great... and yr scape looks stunning. can't wait till the moss starts growing and cover all stones used to tied them.
At long last, I have got the necessary rocks and started planting. Hope it grows well and will be ready for the Chinese new year. For some reason, the left seems slightly dimmer than the right due to the lighting ballast. Hopefully, I can fixed it before my next photography.

Yo Soulfinder78
Yup, I also hope the moss will grow well. The moss at the foreground will make the foreground looks dark green. I am still considering whether to get a Hailea Chiller for this 1.5ft tank..Dunno will overkill or not.

Oh well, since you are already considering whether to get a chiller. Why not consider about getting a bigger 1 for future upgrade???lol
That's what i will do but then it's just me.
Well, I am considering a few options: -
1) 2 PC fan (I think good but top up water till go crazy)
2) 2 Fan Dolphin Chiller (I think good enough to bring temperature to 26deg C)
3) Hailea HL-100A, 130A or Resun CL-200 (Overkill? reliable?) Not sure whether worth the investment.
One problem will foresee is that the E.tenellus will overrun the small rocks in front.
The big rocks will be just nice as when the plants grow, it will make it not so big-looking as compared to now.
Your scape is short of one more piece of rock behind the big rock to create that depth in perspective. Else it is a good looking scape.
Hi Valice
Yup, that is 1 possibility i fear..I think i got to trim the runners and prevent them from overruning in the front..
William, nice! But I think I do agree with some of them about the tellenus growing big (usually about 5-7 cm tall) that it will cover the small rocks and need to have 1-2 other slight smaller rocks to compliment yout big rock. Rem iwagumi consist of 3 rocks in a group.
william,
nice rocks, i'm still searching for mine... No luck.
Hi
Yes. It is extremely difficult to search for nice rocks especially the black ones. I do have some smaller ones for 1ft tank. If you are keen you can pm me. For Ohko rocks, you can go Nature aquarium, Keong Seong. For black rocks, you can go Biotope.
Where is keong seong???
Keong Seong is in Tiong Bahru
To be exact, is Havelock Road.

William... nice going there... lets see how it matures!! great work.
i am setting up a 2ft rockscape also . need comments here :
i am intending to plant either ricca or moss on top of the "hill" , which one is more appealing ? my only ground plant is hairgrass
Hi YCK
It depends on what you like. I like riccia as it is nice and it gives out O2 bubbles. 1 thing i dont like about riccia is that it grow too fast. Therefore for my scape, I choose mainly mosee. As for hairgras, I think it is a popular plant. Quite some people use it as foreground for 2ft tank. For me, I prefer to use it as a background for small tank
Riccia as scape is going to be real troublesome as they grow like weeds.
just to share my experience on raccia :
i used to tied my raccia on wood blog with net , i was happy when its able to cover the whole net but dont be happy too fast , after some time of admiration of raccia able to cover the whole net , the next thing i found is they are able to escape through the net hole once they grow longer . and the bottom raccia tends to rot .
yes it grows very fast
haha just check with the more 'laojiao' scapers here and ask them why they rarely use riccia for scaping
riccia attracts alot of newbies with the bright green color and o2 bubbles
but actually keeping it is a PITA
For riccia, you have to constantly trimming them to prevent too thick of growth, if they gets too thick major problem will come running to youfirstly, the bottom will rot due to the lack of light penetration, then you get the smell from rotting riccia, the worst that can happen is algae. But if you are hardworking and willing to trim them every week once they establish, I think it will beautified your aquascaping.
What I really dislike about riccia is the after trimming clean up and they stay in your tank forever even if you remove every strain you see (unless you tear down the entire tank and start anew)
