General rule of thumb is about 2-3 watts per gallon. But then, hey, if you like the effect you're seeing, who's to stop you?

    7wpg is indeed iviting trouble.. i guess your Co2 need 3 - 4 bps.. high lighting = high co2 = high ferts.

noted ^^ . Don't know my Co2 are ok a not. cause using Sera CO2 checker. show my CO2 are OK . all Day long in Deep Green color. even light off and CO2 are off for 6hr still Deep green .. don't know y?? the only time the CO2 Checker change are when i do 40% water change weekly. after 40% water change. the CO2 checker turn to Deep blue. ferts i'm also not too sure . but i dose 3 time a week.

my lighting hour are set at 7hr(9am to 4pm). so i set it down to 5 or 6 hr to balance the WGP guide?? or i have to set the lighting hour even lower? or i use 2 timer to control the 2 light to turn on at difference timing?

By the way can ID this plant? out of my Hc grow 1 very big plant??

Yap, agree with Shadow, look like glosso. The growth rate of glosso is quite fast, some ppl used them as to create a carpet.

wa. think i got to remove the glosso fast. but lucky .the whole tank only got that one ^^

eh , regard on my lighting:

my lighting hour are set at 7hr(9am to 4pm). so i set it down to 5 or 6 hr to balance the WGP guide?? or i have to set the lighting hour even lower?

or i use 2 timer to control the 2 light to turn on at difference timing? like first light turn on at (9am to 2pm) then light 2 turn on at (12pm to 4pm) ??? workable?

If I were you, I will stay as it is. HC will grow tall if not enough light. Higher light mean faster grow but that goes to algae as well . Just make sure enough CO2 and fert.

Your checker might be faulty, try remove it from the tank, the color should turn blue. Note that drop checker response is quite slow maybe 4 to 6 hours before you can see color change. When you dilute dropchecker solution use water with kH = 4 instead of your tank water unles your tank water kH = 4

Do not reduce your on time, it is about the light wattage not the on time.

    Hi

i think 72W is no issue. Just control the lighting duration.
