    E. tenellus has taken over, pardon the breeding tank at the side, had to confine my naughty gibbicep. Also had to place the hornwort back to absorb the nutrients, will reduce ADA dosing to twice a week and observe. Crypts and all are growing fine

The E.tenellus will be covering all the foreground and background thus maintaining it will be difficult?

    Superb growth.
    Cheers!

not really, just thin them when they get too thick. But I do prefer a thick lawn, provides cover to the young

I agree the thicker the cover the better.

So how's the tank doing? Hope to see some new updates soon just before CNY.

    Cheers!

foreground getting too out of control, crypts are growing slowly but steadily, might be tempted to insert some booster for them. The narrow leaf rubin is starting to put out new leaves. Hornwort left in there to provide shelter for the yamatos

The growth of E.tenellus is really fast.
Is your substrate only AquaSoil or with Powersand ?

What kind of booster you thinking of adding ?
Maybe you can insert some Multi Bottom for your crypts.

time for an update (3 months)

Nothing much has changed, except for the frontal lawn which I ripped out 2 weeks ago (1 pail full) ran UV for green water, overdid the insertion of substrate boosters and left some exposed. All of the black galaxy has gone hiding in the thick tenellus, they are all well (some fat and big). Apologise for the hortwort again

those fishes are extremely shy, can't take a shot without spooking them. Next time I try another approach. I also have the intention to replace the tenellus, it is overtaking everything in its path. I have reposition the driftwood to its original position, knew something doesn't look right after I place it back tying the mosses on it

Simon: The tenellus is growing quite thick. What's the Echinodorus on the left back? E.Ozelot? I have something similar in my 5ft.

BTW - when you put your rainbar that way, did you notice a lot of mulm accumulate on the right side?

    Cheers!

The tenellus was overlapping, if I hadn't rip out the front portion it will look even more messy. You are right, it is the ozelot green, didn't know what to put at that corner and didn't want it empty.

mulm on the right? so far didn't notice but I do observe accumulate of fish waste at left side

Is that my moss I see on your driftwood? By the way, have you made out what moss is that?
