    Hi to all,

I'm having problem with my canister filter. i've just finished cleaning it and after i assemble it back and turn it on, found the inlet leaking. Water is leaking at the point where i screw the tube section onto the canister inlet. The model i'm using is Altman CF1000. I think i used it for 1/2 yr or so.

Anyone knows how to fix it?
    Thanks!

sound like you didnt assemble back the o-ring properly... or your o-ring got bust.

Check for every inlet or outlet and the lid ...see any o -ring for damage or whatever so.
    cheers

i checked the inlet (both the tube section and the canister inlet) but there isn't any rubber o-ring there. I think there isn't any in the first place.
So do you think I can get a rubber o-ring from LFS, but will it fit nicely?

Not sure if the dripping will go off, but i've turned off the filter for now while i find a fix to the leak.

    Anyone with this filter problem?

I used atman too it definitely come with O rings inside both in/outlet, ever once flushed out o ring. And there was once leakage at 1 of the coupling's ball valve, NA do sell parts for atman, good luck.

Do hunt out replacement parts at your nearby LFS?
Go down and ask about parts for your particular model...I know i asked and even managed to find stuff for jebo?Atman should fare slightly better i suppose?
Anyway, worse comes to worse you can always seal it using silicon gel? Did it with my hydor prime and there wasn't any problem! Only drawback being ugly and permanently irreplacable.

ok, Thanks for all the advices. Think i'll go to Y618 and ask abt the O rings.

I don't think i want to seal it with silicon as that will make cleaning of the canister troublesome.
